I initially had SMS notification sound. Then, I installed unread-counter. It worked great for a few days, then unread-counter stopped working, so I uninstalled. After that, I installed and uninstalled 4 or 5 different counters to try them out.
With this very last counter, any incoming SMS has not made any notification sound. I checked the SMS app's notification sound as well as Moto E4's manufacturer's settings Notification sound. They are still checked and be designated the sounds I want.
I just wonder if my frequent installations and uninstallations confuse my phone. Since the counters had to be granted to all accesses, they not only overwrite but also mess up with Moto E4's settings??
So, I uninstalled the counter totally and see if the Moto E4's setting notification sound would come back, but nope!!!
