I upgraded to android 11 recently. Since then when I'm deleting or editing photos in the photo gallery the next picture will become pixelated and will skip picture when I scroll to the next picture. This process takes at least 5 seconds. When I'm going through pictures and deleting the ones I don't want to keep this can waste a lot of time. Any suggestions?

try clearing cache for the gallery app. are you using google photos? if not you should cuz it will backup your photos and makes it easy to get your photos when you get a new phone.
Hi, yes this is occurring in local Google Photo gallery, not cloud. My memory is not full. This begin immediately after I updated to Android 11. It takes 5-10 seconds to go from deleting a picture to viewing another picture, and it skips a picture. It's really annoying.

Sometime's an app's cache and/or data might get corrupted during the upgrade process, which can cause weird glitches like you're seeing. ocnbrze's suggestions are solid. :thumbsupdroid:

I'd first try just clearing the cache for the affected app. Do this at Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps > Photos. First hit the Force stop button, then Storage & cache > Clear cache. If that doesn't fix it, go one step further and hit Clear storage.

If the crashes continue, go ahead and do the uninstall -> reboot -> reinstall steps and see how that goes.
