Callers can't hear me in car

I have a Samsung S8 running Android 9.

When I'm connected to my cars through bluetooth, callers cannot hear me well. I hear them just fine.

They can hear me on my Jabra speaker, so it's not the device.

My wife had no issues from her phone, so it's not the cars.

I always have to disconnect and speak into my phone, which is illegal when I'm driving. There must be some setting that can fix this, but I can't find it.

Any ideas?

curious as to what phone your wife has? what head unit are you using? has it always been like this? or is this a recent issue?

Car Stereo Bluetooth can be iffy, especially if the phone is trying to save power. Is the screen off when this happens? Try touching the phone to keep it awake

Here's how you solve it:

First you have to be connected to your cars Bluetooth and make a phone call(not an urgent one..maybe to your wife)..try to set the volume rather a little bit high..
*you go to "settings".
*then to "sound and notifications".
*then "sounds and quality effects".
*then to "adapt sound" option inside there and the system is going to ask you several times if you hear a ''beep''..you input either yes or not..put very close attention..the beep is very very very soft(at this point your wife on the phone has to be quiet other wise you are going to miss the beep)..she can talk when you finish adjusting the sound and the beeps..

I hope this helps..this procedure fixed me up..I used to have same issue..

If it doesn't..try in cleaning a little bit the mic of the cars Bluetooth with the tooth pick and rubing alcohol..

Wife has an iPhone. I've had this issue for months. Other bluetooth devices work just fine, it's only in cars that people have a hard time hearing me.

Yes, I know..that's why I gave you the steps to follow..reason why normally doesn't work in the car is because the sound system, eco, 4+ speakers, and also surround sound.
Your wife's iphone has not relevance.

If you want to fallow the steps..your choice.
