Do you need it delivered, set up, and old mattresses hauled away? Or would a drop-off delivery work for you? If the latter, you should be able to order what you want from any company that ships. Don't be surprised though if there's a hefty fee for that--unless they're offering some sort of free delivery.
I can't speak for the quality of their mattresses or prices but they are all over my city and see that you have stores in your area as well. Mattress Firm
I've never tried one of their mattresses or know of someone that has one. I'm thinking another mattress place might be Denver Mattress. No idea if they have stores in Boston. Not even certain they are still around. There was a store right next to Best Buy here or I wouldn't even know they existed.
Dngrswife and I just upgraded our Sleep Number bed to one of the fancy new models. So far, I love it, but she's the opposite; but that might be due to a recent back injury and so she's uncomfortable pretty much all the time.

been thinking of getting a sleep number bed. just not sure if its worth shelling out that much money for one. my back and shoulders are extremely stiff when i wake up in the morning. i bought my mattress at Costco. it was very comfortable at first. now it seems to have firmed up over the years.

I loved my waterbeds! I went through two in near thirty years. The first mattress stretched some but was replaced / upgraded only when my heater died. The second had baffles that dampened the wave motion and was wonderful to sleep on. It was replaced with a conventional mattress only because my wife insisted on a change. If not to appease her, I'd still be sleeping on one today. I haven't slept nearly as well since the change.
I never had one give up on me. I bet that was ugly. My first bag stretched over time. I added water to it a number of times to achieve the desired firmness. I almost remember that I patched it at some point as well. Likely the cat got it. My second mattress was just wonderful. It had enough baffles in the bag that you could get up in the night without disturbing your partner. I wish I still had it to be honest.
I've contemplated a sleep comfort air mattress as a compromise. I know so little about them but they seem genuine but pricy.
Water beds? OMFG! I hadn't thought about those in years. We had one in the apartment my husband was renting in Hollywood when we first met. I remember it regularly springing leaks, but he was friends with the [hippie] apartment manager, who'd bring his glue gun and squirt some hot glue in the leak, and that would keep it going a while longer. Left it behind and don't know what became of it, after moving to Florida. But what fun!
The first apartment I had a waterbed in was shared with another guy. It was a one bedroom apt and he had the bedroom and I set up a waterbed in the living room. There was just enough room to walk beside it and a couch at one end and the stereo and tv on the other end. You either had to sit on the couch with your feet on the head of the bed or get in the bed. It seemed to work out like any 20 year old single might want it to. I still had that mattress when I married and set it up in our first house. I did buy a heater for it. Nothing quite like rolling off the covers onto that cold bag in the night.
