Having issues with chrome autofill as it only works with web pages and not on my apps. Used to work with both but even has a factory reset and reinstalling all apps it only appears to be working as a browser helper. I have android version 10.x

I have never had good luck with auto-fill, and now just ignore its existance.
You can try a better password manager, Bitwarden, https://bitwarden.en.uptodown.com/android
(this is the one that I use) but I dont use auto-fill with it either.
However, it does save passwords and is accessible from other devices as well.
For a long while, auto-fill was not supported and then it was, and then certain apps would and others wouldnt.
Much more a frustration than a feature.
