    Help message notification question

    Is it possible to have a notification in the bar when you receive a message but not have the message scroll across the top of the screen? I can turn that off but then get no audio alert. I want sound, some kind of alert in notification bar but not the actual message scrolling.

    alternative to "no led" ?
