    remove news screen from my phone

    On my Moto G4, hitherto the screen before the home screen did not seem to exist. Just recently it has appeared with news on it and since that time my battery goes down much faster than it did and charging is much slower. How can I remove this screen and it's content permanently?     Help finger print
