The GPS in the XOOM is a typical aGPS used in a cell phone. Normally aGPS uses "assistance" from the cell system to acquire GPS.
Does the XOOM need to have 3G activated with Verizon for the GPS to acquire?
I have a rooted OG Droid. I have WIFI Hotspot enabled, but most android devices cannot connect to an ad-hoc network. An IPad will connect.
Can one of you with a XOOM see if it will connect to an ad-hoc WIFI network?
thanks.
The newest version of the Dolphin Browser (v 1.29) is multi-touch enabled (pinch zoom) for the Droid.
It's not as smooth as I'd like, but pretty darn good for a first effort.
