Ugh, not a fan...
Anyone know how to revert back to the old lockscreen, or at least get rid of the ugly bars on the side?
And am I the only one with increased haptic feedback after the update?
I tried downgrading to 4.1 but the update notifications were so frequent it was making it unusable...
Still new to Android so bear with me. I was wondering how/if it's possible to get apps designed for specific handsets on a different device (e.g. SIII apps on a Gnex)?
If it's possible, how would I do it? Do I need to root? Would it require a custom rom or is there a way to just install them...
So today after missing a second insanely important event in less than a month, I cursed my gnex and dusted off my iphone and powered it up again. I've put a lot of effort into my newest phone (gnex) and after a little not so great deja-vu with the iphone, I've decided to give it one more chance...
I want to root my Galaxy Nexus but I've spent quite a bit of time setting it up and have things just I want them. I read a couple of things saying that before rooting backup options are limited. Can anyone tell me if a full backup is possible and how I might accomplish it? Many thanks

Wow, this is just what I needed right now... I was sitting on the couch reading an ebook with my n7 plugged in and charging (but operating). Without warning the screen looked like a tv when you're half way through tuning new channels (lasted 1-2 seconds), there was a slight pop from the speakers...
So I've had my gnex for almost a week now and I'm loving it. Particularly fond of the stock UI. On that note - I've been looking into disabling wallpaper scrolling, but every post I find talks about using a launcher as the solution. I don't want a launcher as I'm perfectly happy with my device...
I've decided I don't need a gnex and n7, so I'd like to sell my tablet. But is it safe to do so after a factory reset? I don't want any of my information being retrievable... Thanks.
Sorry, I know this is a lame question. I've been an Android user before and had a sour experience - just want to make sure I get things right this time around. I've done some homework, but I know there are upcoming devices I don't have on my list, and most importantly - I know specs; but I want...
