A mysterious Samsung smartphone has passed through Bluetooth SIG
with model number SM-G888N0. That model number has previously been speculated to be the codename for Samsung’s long-rumored foldable Galaxy X smartphone.
Back in June of this year, we learned that the Bluetooth SIG was working on version 5 of the Bluetooth spec. It wasn't clear when it would be available but now the group has finalized the spec. We're told devices using Bluetooth 5 should be on the market within two to six months.

The dates matched up as it has been officially announced today and it is said to bring 4x the range, twice the speed, and increase data broadcast capacity by 800%.
