Google has shut down Google Map Maker. The service allowed users to submit edits to Google Maps. This was more useful for smaller communities where Google doesn't have dedicated teams to ensure maps were fully accurate and up to date.

Google first launched their Map Maker service back in 2008, and it's been quite helpful for the overall Google Maps community. However, the team has been building this functionality into the core Google Maps product, so they have decided to kill it in the first quarter of next year.
