Root 1.2ghz Testing/Temperature/Stability questions!

What is a good way to push my limits to see if my overclock settings are stable? I know with a PC I can run several stress tests to push the temperatures.

I am currently running Bugless Beast v0.4 with the Chevy ulowv 1.2. I have SetCPU set on performance, maxing it out and have had it that way a few hours. Its running @ 38 C at full speed leaving the display on full brightness while plugged into usb...is this a good way to test it? Or do I just have to go for other forms of trial and error?

Are others getting good results @ 1.2? If so what are your setCPU profiles like and how long have you been running at 1.2?

Pretty sure it runs for 15 minutes but you can stop it anytime

As far as I know no one has been able to get the temp monitoring for the CPU to work with 2.2 So the 38C you are seeing may be you battery temp.

Is there an application to monitor the cpu temp? Or do you mean no one even at app development levels?

There is no way to monitor CPU temps with Froyo ROMS (at this time). They're dependent upon the kernels and none of them have that ability just yet. Hopefully soon, though.

As of now, there isn't a kernal for froyo that can read and display cpu temp. Temp monitor worked on 2.1 but now it only gets battery temp... there's a thread somewhere in here as to why
