Easyroot by drakaz does it pretty flawlessly dude.
Just ensure that you have the drivers in place ( Thats the trickiest part). Once over with the drivers just fire up the .bat files. I think you have to do it once and then choose 'Root this device from the recovery menu'

Works perfect.... Unfortunetly, unable to flash Gapps for this...:-( Tried mdpi20100930 and also the latest one (i think mdpi 201105..). It says installation failed. Help please..... without gapps and specially market, no fun in having an android phone....:-(
