I don't quite understand this app ...

If I choose to kill Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, Clock, etc., how does this affect the widgets I have on my home screens?

For example, if I "kill" Facebook will the widget stop updating?

If I kill Gmail will I not receive email notifications until I reopen the program?

The short version -

You don't need it. If you want it, you certainly shouldn't be using it to kill a whole list of apps. I use System Panel (because it's better, still free and doesn't have any adds) to occasionally close individual apps that I'm testing and won't close properly. Apps will rerun when requested, which may be immediately upon closing, just depends on what you're doing with your phone.
