Android Tablets

I am going to purchase an Android tablet for my 2.5 year old son to watch YouTube on. I'm concerned because all of the affordable tablets I've read about recently are <2.2 and I was wondering if they will be able to upgrade to froyo or not.

From what I understand, only Froyo has flash and thus, the non-froyos would have a problem playing some of the YouTube videos, correct?

Any recommendations would be appreciated...I need to recapture my Droid X from my son, and getting him his own tablet should do the trick!

i think the new archos tablets are supposed to be 2.2 and relatively affordable. Archos 70 or something like that. I'm not sure if its' out yet though.
