What are you doing with your Droid when it gets warm? I did notice mine get a little warm when I used the navigation program with GPS for about an hour one day, got to about 106.7 F. I also notice it gets a little warm when I carry it in my pocket with the case on, around 98.4 F. I haven't used it much within the last hour except checking my calendar, reading two emails, and a 5 minute phone call and it is sitting at 86.5 F right now.
yes mine gets hot sometimes depending on what im doing.. usually not texting but extended web browsing or playing games or something. u can feel it right on the keyboard around the left side and also on the back between the camera and the words that say "with google"
mine is charging now, a bit warm but i am sure not abnormal, i have it overclocked but with setcpu i have a profile set to make it run at 550mhz when charging, so it can't mess it up more than it would have stock
Why would you put it under your pillow :-o electrical fire lol I have mine overclocked too its at 1ghz it does tend to get warm but hey what's life without risks >
I give it a break in standby/sleep by putting it to 125mhz though..
Is the alarm clock really that loud? I can ditch my annoying alarm clock then finally oh wait you said you had to put it under ur pillow ahh man guess not the waaaaa waaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaaaa sound at 5 am lives on
Not sure what sensor app that is, but if it is the temperature it would be 46 degrees Celsius which is about 115F. I think that is a bit on the hot side. I don't usually see much over 40C (104F)
It will get a little warm during normal usage, but should not be hot to the touch. It may also get warm while charging.
I love the overclockers in that thread reporting battery temps exceeding 100*F during continuous use....waiting for one of them to have their nads blown off when their phone explodes due to excessive battery temps
mine gets warm when plugged into usb on my desk. i assume the same when charging from ac power, but i've never bothered to check. the other night it was in my pocket while i was on a call, and when i pulled it out to end the call it was pretty toasty in my hand. i don't what temp it was, i've never been curious to check as i'm not too concerned about it, since it only seems to get warm when being used, and never when just idle.

You said before how to check the temperature, on my battery widget, batterylife it displays heat under settings, and Just wondering about the quote above does over clocking using the app setcpu break wifi, gps, etc... ?

I have the Bugless Beast 7.2 800mhz rom installed and use Setcpu to underclock to 125mhz while charging and while the phone is in sleep mode. I've never seen anything over 97F with heavy surfing and video viewing. I've never checked the temp while using GPS (I will tomorrow though). GPS and Wifi and in fact, everything else works great with this rom.
