I have a rooted HTC wildfire device, I was wondering if anyone has managed to get a wii controller to work with the device.

I have used all the available apk files like “Ryan Frawley's Wii Controller IME”. I have also searched for Bluetooth devices in the setting menu, when I try to pair the devices it asks me to enter a code for pairing. On the controller I cannot enter any numbers to conform the code. I have watched various youtube videos with android devices using the wii remote. I read that some devices with sense gui do not work. I would like a second opinion.

When I use the Frawley's Wii Controller IME software it says connecting but then the message disappears and the wii controller still flashes.

Any suggestions would gratefully be appreciated and would also help other android users

    thank you

    Daniel James

You can't enter codes for pairing with bluetooth headsets either. Don't you then just enter 0000 or 1234 on the phone to pair?

But how would you confirm the code on the wii controller, I know the controller has a 1 and 2 button but I already tried this and it did not work. Maybe the best solution is to purchase the Bluetooth gamepad or keyboard since they are designed for theses device.

Nope it doesn't work: There was a problem pairing with Nintendo RVL-CNT-01 because the pin or passkey is incorrect

On a closer inspection apparently, you need to be running a ROM that does not include HTC sense. So root may be the only option.

Could you recommend something faster than WildPuzzleROM HTC sense ROM, that might work.

If cyanogen 6.1 is ready for wildfire, that. No sense though do would need an alternative launcher like launcherpro.

Have a Google. Last I checked it was still at release candidate stage
