Help App icons problems

acey612

Newbie
So I have several apps moved to my SD card on my droid X, I also have them organized into a folder and I'm using Launcher Pro.

The apps don't use their normal icon, instead it uses the default system icon of a little blue computer and gear next to it.

I can delete the icon from the app, and then put it back and it fixed it, but only until I reboot the phone or mount and umount the SD Card.

Anyone have a fix? it's bugging me enough that I'm considering moving all the apps back to the phone.

Thanks!

I have the exact same problem. Strangely, it only seems to affect the icons for Angry Birds and Frozen Bubble in my games folder.

I also noticed that it only occurs after I've rebooted the phone.

I figured out that the two app shortcuts I mentioned that were experiencing this issue were both stored on the SD card, as you mentioned in your OP (though I don't recall moving them there myself). After moving them back to internal memory, the issue seems to be fixed.

That being said, it definitely shouldn't be happening either way. I'm not sure what a more permanent solution would be.

I have the same exact problems as you guys. It only seems to effect Angry Birds (and now AB Rio), but it is extremely annoying. To fix this I just move it to my phones internal memory, buuuut every time there is an update for the game it puts it on the SD card again!

There should be a way to override Angry Birds attempts to install on the SD card... this is just aggravating.

I have been considering rooting my phone (for other reasons). Have any of you rooted? Does it fix this problem or is it still a problem in rooted phones?

I have the same issue and have been trying to find a solution. I've read that launcher pro won't show icons in folders for apps that are stored on the SD card.
