[App request] Beat/Sample pad app

Basically I'm looking for an app that works like a a sample pad or a beat pad. iOS has this. I have found an app on Google code that does what I'm looking for but it's quite archaic and appears to have been abandoned for a couple years now. If someone could maybe resurrect the app or develop their own with more features I think that would be good.

I know there's Electrum Drum, but I don't like it as much as I like the idea of something like the beat pad app where it would be more about being directly interactive with the beats and samples.

I'd be very willing to beta test and give ideas for features that weren't ever done for that beatmaker beta app.

I'm a big fan of this idea too- but aren't these the type of apps that you're looking for? I looked into a similar project recently and felt as if I had gotten beaten to the punch
