I have been using the Astro Player beta (in market) and can now report:
1. EQ works without killing the chipset (like some other apps out there)
2. EQ does make a good difference- Try it on and off and see. Treble decay for high end sounds seem natural when on (for an MP3).
3. Helps more for outputting to a car stereo
4. I use a V pattern, but heavier on the hi end side of the V (The right wing of the V is higher)
5. Read flash memory or microsd
Only main thing that keeps this from being A+ is it does not intergrate music form the flash and microsd.
I tried to buy the app (appreciate effort), but I guess the beta status is why.
