This latest release is the 18th for the Global, Exynos, S21 series and is currently being rolled out by Samsung only 23 days after the September update, AUHD.

This update is for device security.

Initially, as always, this is a staged roll out to the non-carrier branded, stock Samsung CSC codes first.

This looks to be a fast roll-out with over 20 countries already released.

The Galaxy S21 Global, Exynos, devices that will receive this update are...
  • S21 5G model SM-G991B
  • S21+ 5G model SM-G996B
  • S21 Ultra 5G model SM-G998B
This latest release replaces the previous G99*BXXU3AUHD build.

It is a FOTA, (Firmware Over The Air), update and you can check... Settings > Software update... to see if it is available for you. Alternatively, you can connect to the Samsung PC suite, Smart Switch and check via that.

So, this is what this AUEI update is about...

"As per posts on Samsung’s community page, the Galaxy S21 series, smartphones are getting an update with the firmware version F711BXXU2AUI1G99*BXXU3AUIE. As per a report by TizenHelp, the update brings along digital key support for Samsung Galaxy S21+ and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra in South Korea.

The digital key feature is said to work with select models from Audi, BMW, Genesis, and Ford. Once updated, it allows users to register their car keys to Samsung Pass, which uses biometrics to sign in to websites and apps on the Samsung phone. The user will then be able to open and lock the car doors using a Near Field Communication (NFC) tag. The user can even start the engine by placing the phone on the car’s wireless charging pad."
