autoswitch to 2G on no data

Hello, just got my Htc Desire and trying to configure it the "right" way. It looks like that despite searching/googling for a while, I can find everything I need beside a single "tool".

On my N900 I'm using AutoDisconnect in order to:

1. Automatically switch off data (wifi/gprs) connection if transferred data is below a specified offset.
2. Automatically switch to 2G if no data connection active.
3. Automatically switch to 3G on data connection request.

Any clue if there is something similar for Android? I'm more interested in 2 and 3.
