I am certain I have used ClockWorkRecovery v5.0.20 in the past to backup my Avail and have the files I created back in February of this year as proof.

I had a Backup and Restore option back then. Now when I boot to Recovery the only options are

reboot system now
apply sdcard: update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partation.

What has changed to cause me to loose Backup and Recovery?

EDIT: I am rooted.
EDIT: Problem solved - using incorrect syntax to flash_image for CWM v5.0.20. Apparently loading something other then v5.0.2.0 as a result. My bad.

Correct Syntax (in my case) is
adb shell
# flash_image recovery /sdcard/Recovery.img
# reboot recovery
