Backlight on the 4 navigation buttons

Hey guys had a question. I noticed today while watching a movie at night in a vehicle that the 4 navigation buttons at the bottom of the phone never go off. At night it's actually quite annoying while trying to watch a movie. How can i get these to turn off while viewing a video?

Yeah its a feature/bug in 2.1. It happens because of the light sensor and it happens in the media dock as well. Haven't tried the car dock, but its probably the same way.

If you are rooted, try LEDs Hack. Its on the market, you can turn em on/off with the app or automatic when it is in a dock or connected to power. Otherwise, I do not know of a way to control them.
