Battery door

My battery door makes weird sounds on the right back of phone left side fits snug but right makes a little clicking sound isn't it supposed to be solid and all snug on both sides

Ok, so I'm not the only one with this problem. I even went to Verizon and had them pull out a different back. That yielded no change.

We did pull the battery and re-seat it. I also tried a small piece of double sided tape (make sure it's the removable kind) -put it on top, next to the power button-very close to the edge. That seemed to help, for whatever reason.

I thought they were going to have wireless charging for this phone? Which would require a different battery door. I'm hoping that will fit a little better.

I heard some people got a new door and it fixed it ima go see if that helps later on today ill put my results

I have the same issue.
I read that this is a know issue and verizon is replacing the battery cover.
And they are. I'm expecting my replacement today.
Call get it swapped out.

ok got the replacement and it fits perfect.
funny it came in a retail package with a price of $19.99 on it.
I guess someone foresaw needing a replacement

Ahh! I have this problem too. Not as noticeable with the case on, but still annoying. Just call customer service and they will send a replacement? Or do I need to go to the store?

I still haven't received it I'm waiting for it should be today

Called support. They said it's not a confirmed issue and told me to go to a Verizon store to see if they'll let me switch out covers. I pleaded with them to just send me one. The gal and her supervisor apparently didn't believe me?

Sigh.

I don't have time to go to a store. I just want them to send me a friggin cover!

Shouldn't the warranty cover this?

I got it, works fine no problems, call again

Called again, they STILL wouldn't send me one, and the support lady and her supervisor 'confirmed' this is not a known issue :)

They told me to go into a store and have them call and ask for Tier 2 support. I did this and talked to a great guy on the support line. I had to physically be in the store and call up support, and FINALLY got them to send me a new door. He said if this door doesn't work better, they'll just send me a new phone. This guy was really nice and really helpful. He knew his stuff.

Then he told me once again that they have not seen this issue anywhere else. I'm thinkin 'do Verizon people not communicate this stuff? Is this not in a system somewhere, that they've been sending other people battery doors?'

O well. Can't wait for my new door. Hope it does the trick.

Probably no point in getting a new door until they actually change something about the design of the door. I HATE that clicking... makes the phone feel cheap.

I'm curious if those who got a replacement door had any change in the signal indicator on the phone?

I believe the antenna is somewhat built into the back cover or at least I remember reading that somewhere.

Got my battery door and it is better, but still clicky. Sick and tired of these built issues on HTC phones, particularly the cheapness of the D-Inc 1 and D-Inc 2.

Figured out why it makes da noise under the battery the left side has a lil bump that's why its more solid the right side doesn't have anything its flat

I noticed it too, but I don't have the issue now. I got the extended battery, and the battery cover that comes with it no longer makes the noise. Granted, completely different size than the stock, but might a viable option if the noise is annoying enough and someone wants to upgrade to the larger battery.

Yeah, I got my DInc2 a few days ago & it was snug for the 1st day. After taking the door off to put my memory card in, it started to have that bounce & clicking sound. I only notice it if I force myself to, but still annoying.

I noticed my clicking sound was being made by the black plastic around the usb port. It is loose and rattles around, making the noise.
