I have tried easy filter to block unknown numbers, but since install I have had loads of answer phone messages without the phone ringing and no register of a missed call.

Easy filter is set to only block unknown numbers. I have no need to block people who show there number.

Can you guys suggest an alternative that just blocks those people who hide their number?

It does not need to block sms.

Very willing to pay, just not willing to try something for 12 minutes and then get a refund. Better to get your opinions first.

    Cheers.

I've heard of being able to add "Unknown," "Private," and/or "Restricted" into your google contacts and choosing the option to send straight to voicemail working.

I'm giving that a try right now since the Red Cross is bugging me non-stop at all hours of the day to come in. When they call though, it shows up as "Unknown"

This way you'll still get a missed call notification and possibly get a voicemail (not likely considering the people that usually block their numbers)

I'll let you know if it works for me.
