Just reimbursed for my wife's Eris. $199.99 richer. Thanks VZW, awesome customer service. Coming from another carrier, and being a customer for only 26 days, this promotion "ROCKS".
I told them my wife had expressed interest in my android phone - true. And that we didn't know if my wife would like the phone - also true - but that I simply wanted to snag my free phone. And that I had intended to simply take it home unactivated until my wife wanted to switch.
The people at the vzw store were *very* nice when they explained that
1) My second line was not yet eligible for an upgrade ( but maybe they could convince the boss to sign off on it)
2) The phone *must* be activated.
Just what the post says. I purchased two Android Phones. AN Eris and a Moto. $299/ Moto, $199/ Eris. -$100 rebate on each = $199/moto, $99/eris.
I called VZW customer service and they agreed because of this promotion they would reimburse me the other $100 for the Eris. "Zero" out of pocket for the Eris.
I bought a Droid on the 10th and was able to get a free Droid Eris for my wife's line which was eligible. My wife preferred the Eris to the Droid anyway, as it likes more "sexy" to her. I can't disagree - the Droid is definitely not a girl's phone.
weird i just bought a droid today seen the commercial called verizon and they said i can return it. rebuy it and get a droid free i asked if it was the cheaper one or the more expensive she said i could take whatever one i wanted.........
I know it ends tomorrow. Are we talking at midnight tonight it's over or close of business tomorrow? Also do I pay $100 up front and mail in a rebate or just free outright? I just got a Droid about 3 days ago and thinking about picking the Eris up for the wife.
