What firewall are you using....

On the firewall I have an OC3 connection separated into 100meg pipes each of those pipes has a viada box and a barracuda box running in parallel. Each time I hit the link for the stockrom both alert to rogue scanners being detected, I also have an attack rep program running that verifies this issue.

On the video player apk what was the original name of the video player file as I do not see it in either of these zips. The video apk is there but that is not the stock apk that came with phone any help much appreciated.

This link is to a page right here. Dont know why your firewall went off.

This rom may have the original video player.

Here is a rom guide, filled with lots of rom's to look through.

I can't remember the name of the stock player, maybe it was video player.apk? I have seen that in a few roms I looked in, most of the time a dev will replace it with a better one.

It should be inside one of the stock roms, You would think.

EDIT; This rom is supposed to be raw bone stock!!!

Completely stock as far as apps go.

LilBit the videoplayer.apk is a google video app it is not the stock player. I did load the alien rom and it has the original video player but I do not know what the file name is for the player he included there is no file named video anything in the alien rom zips.

Let me clarify on the rogue scanners, The link that sets off the firewalls to the scanning issue is not the link to the page but the link for this file: ZW-RTS-FOR-CWM-19-0B08C.zip

OK, This link is just a direct link to mediafire downloads where the file is stored, it should be safe.
ZW-RTS-FOR-CWM-19-0B08C.zip

If the stock player is avaiable its in a stock rom, and you can only get them as far as I know from someones dropbox account or mediafire, or wherever they have it stored.:D

Your firewall may go off, but I still think these sites we link to are safe. :)
Scan the file again after you download it to be sure. ;)

EDIT; I downloaded the BO8C and looked inside, I see a file called
mediaprovider.apk That may be it.

I believe that file is Media Storage program, I do not think it would allow you install since it is a system file even on rooted but will give it a try.

LilBit yes this is called out as the media storage file and it will not allow install, even with dev setup, and unknown sources.

here is my dilemma,
I am testing rtsp streams with the boost.
I rooted and left original rom running, I could use stock browser to call the rtsp feed and it would ask if i wanted to use movies or mx video player to play the feed(mx never worked for the feed) when I selected movie it would launch the stock player and work like a charm. Now I have tried several roms without the original player and even downloading third party apps the feeds never worked well. But when I use a rom with the original movie player the feeds are flawless and smooth. I was hoping to be able to install the original movie app to see if this resolves issues for me again.

I have cwm installed I will just roll it back if i have to kinda sucks I like the noob rom way better but I cant find a video player that will play rstp feeds with this rom. Thanks for help i will keep looking or go to alienware.

ok you can not ever install a system app what you do is get root browser or some file explore that you choose to use and move the apk from sd to system apps then change permission and restart phone

and i would not give up so easy you can find the og movie player just write mrbobo and he will help you nobody knows the noob rom like him he made it lol
