Root Boot Animation using MikG rom

I have a HTC EVO 4G with the MikG rom. If I change the setting under Bootanimations/WVGA to any of the choices available, they all show the exact same thing on bootup

the word "android" with the letters slowly glowing from left to right.

I think I have something set wrong as it seems I should be getting different boot up animations based on with choice I make under WVGA.

Any suggestions?

What is wvga? Is this an app?

Here is what I am doing:
Press the home button
Press the apps button
Under Apps, I press the icon for MikTweaks
In the MikTweaks app I press the "Extras" button
Under the Extras is a list of options I then press "Bootanimations"
Under "Bootanimations" there are two choices

WVGA
Boot animations for WVGA devices

and

720p
Boot animations for 720p devices

I select WVGA and the following shows up:

MikRoms #1
White HTC
Beats Audio
Nexus Prime
Android Takes Apple

No matter which of the above five boot up animations I chose, they all only give me a glowing image of the word "android". I have seen video of another HTC EVO 4G with the MikG rom on youtube that shows a lighting storm with an image of a roadrunner for the MikRoms #1 option.

My question is, why do I not have any choice as to what shows up when the phone is turned on?

Hmmmmmm never noticed those before........good question.

I think I will flash Mikg and check that out as it had been a while.

I usually do the boot animations by flashing through the bootloader.
