Can I get my photos out with a dead screen?

The screen went dead on my G2 a couple of years ago so I got a new phone but still have the old one sitting in a drawer. I would like to know if there is any way to retrieve the photos from it.

If you can unlock it you can probably just copy over USB. Otherwise it depends on whether you can mirror the screen (MHL probably isn't supported by that device), since it's hard to control otherwise. And on whether the touch layer is working, since otherwise you need to us USB OTG to interact (assuming the G2 supports it, though it's recent enough that I think it should).

Thanks for responding. I guess I should have been more specific. The screen is non responsive and it does not light up either so I can't see anything when I wake it up or connect it to the computer. I assume that means that those methods won't help me.
