I have 2 gmail (apps) accounts on my phone

The first account: I want to know when I get an email

The second account: I don't want to know when I get an email - but still want, for checking and sending only when I look at the account

Is it possible to disable notification on one account and keep the other?

I've got a Sony Xperia X10 Mini Pro and have waited a looooong time to get 2.1, JUST for the multi email accounts capability - now that I've got it, I'm not liking it because I get disturbed when I get email on the second account

    Help!

Question: is there an application maybe that can solve the problem?

    Thanks

    OM

Yes, there is an app for that. Get Gmail Notifier from the Market.

If you open the gmail account then click menu, more, settings, once you scroll down there is a button that says "Email notifications". Uncheck it and you should be all set. This is account specific so if you go to your other account you can keep alerts on for one and off for the other.

I have more than 2 gmail accounts and with Gmail Notifier, I get a different icon and sound with each account.

Since you only have 2 accounts Gmail Notifier is probably overkill :)

Glad the easier solution was all you needed!
