Cannot flash ROM

I have flash my firmware to 2.3.5 and unrooted using CF-Root. Now I am stuck, I cannot flash any ROM.

After flashing any ROM I get a dead phone (stuck in boot up).
Do I need to flash something before flashing a ROM?

So you flashed your stock firmware to stock 2.3.5 and then rooted using CF-Root?

Do you know that you're rooted? You can check by downloading Titanium Backup and checking the root status on the main page. Or you can see if you have the CWM and the ChainFire 3D apps in your apps folder. If so, you are rooted and you can use CWM app to flash a custom rom. If not, you need to read the CF-Root guide more carefully.

I am rooted, after flashing a ROM the phone cannot start up.
Is my phone different from you guys?

what rom are you trying to flash?
as slug mentioned, do a full wipe first:
clear data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
wipe dalvik cache

then install the rom's .zip file

I tried few ROMs including SGSII_NDT_MIUI_GINGER_2.3.7_V4.1_Multilang.
I did full a wipe
clear data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
wipe dalvik cache

then install the rom's .zip file
end up a dead phone. (it keep restarting in boot up)
