Can't push headphone in all the way and power button 'soft' on my Droid

A couple of weeks ago, i noticed that the power button stopped working correctly. It can still turn the phone on/off, but i really need to push it in hard. I don't think i dropped the phone at all, but i have little kids, so you never know.

(please disregard the title about the headphone jack- i figured that out).

I bought the phone in Nov, so i doubt Verizon would take it back.

Any thoughts or ideas?

find your local cell phine repair shop. try to find reviews first, you dont wanna give your phone to idiots

Not sure if its what you are describing, but my power button stopped "clicking" down. i could press it and it worked, but it offered no resistance and doesn't seem to move when it was pressed.

I took it back to the Verizon store...of course the turd there claimed it was normal...so I called the 800 number and ordered a replacement under warranty.

yeah, that is exactly what is happening. I'm not clear what the warranty period is. How long did you have yours when it occurred? and what 800 number did you call? Motorola's or Verizon's?
