Help Cant text please help

First suggestion: Turn your phone off and back on.

Second suggestion: Try to remember if there are any apps installed/uninstalled, or other changes made around the same time you started having this issue, as reversing the changes could fix your issue.
 
Do the things that Blast suggested and also go to the market and get the free version of Cache Cleaner. Clear your cache and also clear your call log and message log.

After that...reboot again. If it still persists take the battery out for a few mins and then reinsert it.

When it begins working again...go back to market and get Handcent or GO SMS.

You will like them MUCH better than the stock messaging app.
