I havent been on in a while, since I have opened a paintball field in Michigan and need my phone to be working everyday, but one thing thats bugged me since flashing is NO VMAIL NOTIFICATIONS!
I looked, searched, flipped over rocks, etc... I found this app. Ya cant get it from play anymore, but i found the UK version (I think), either way, it works..

Dont save to SD card.. Just to the phones memory.
Only annoying thing is, it keeps an icon in the notification bar.. It can be turned off, but can sometimes be auto killed by android. (Im sure theres some kind of "run persistantly" setting to stop that).
I hope this helps, eliminates using ADB need, simple, fast, and for sure wont dork up the flash.
