Couple things I have noticed about Android/Google, and the EVO....

My only MAJOR COMPLAINT is that the Marketplace needs a complete overhaul.

I have a few minor ones that you mentioned in your post, but I believe some of those will be improved upon in future releases. Android is just a baby, give it time.

As far as music syncing, htc sync 3 is forthcomming which supposedly syncs with itunes. HTCsync 3 is already availble for download unnofficially, though I am not sure if it works with the evo yet (works with desire and wildfire).

I installed Tunesync, which works extremely well, no hassle automatic syncing wirelessly, (as well as wired). Iphone cant even do that with itunes!


As far as codecs, well, thats a whole nother conversation and probably not too much google can do about it by themselves. Streaming apps actually sound very decent prior to the new stagefright issue with froyo, I imagine that there will be a patch soon enough.

I think Google is working on something like itunes/phone syncing like Apple. Some links to look at:
