Help data roaming on or off?

it's off by default, but i read somewhere that turning it on will help with 4g to 3g handoffs and vice versa...

is there any downside to turning it on?

Try this! go into settings>Wireless and networks>More..>mobile networks> turn on data roaming. It will let the phone receive data when it is switching or searching for 4g. hope it helps.

I turned it on per instruction by level 2 VZW tech support last night. They recommend it to be on.

Yeah, when I was having trouble with my Charge CS told me to always turn it on. Not sure if it helps, but can't hurt either.
