Desire shipping with S-Off?

Received my new handset from my insurance claim today and booted into bootloader, seems to be S-off already!
Saves me a job I suppose is this the case for all HTC phones now?

I've seen several now. Not sure if it will allow you to delete apps with root explorer. Assume it does.

It does not however allow fastboot flashing

Do you know if its safe to run alpharev to get proper s-off?
