Device Self Services not working

I noticed that just recently (few days) that the device self services app will not go back to the main screen but is instead stuch on the "update firmware" screen, and since theres no on screen back button I pretty much can't get off of this screen, tried power cycling, killing the app via TasKiller... nothing works.

Anybody else experiencing this, if so... were you able to fix it?

i noticed this too... i definitely don't know why! maybe the upgrade to 2.1?!?! i'm just speculating!

noticed the same thing a few days ago, used it weekly or so to check minutes. beat logging into the web to look. hopefully comes back in the near future.

Hmm, first the YouTube app and now this, I wish my hero would stop crippling! I'm really hoping we get that update soon.

The same thing with me, seemingly right after updating to fresh 2.1b. Is anyone having the same problem with the stock, unrooted rom?

Mine's stock and it quit working recently. I checked with two co-workers and theirs don't work either.

Yes my Hero is also unrooted and is not working. I know rooting has nothing to do with fixing the device self services app but I'm seriously considering it just to boost the performance of my Hero.
