I have not rooted my phone, so I have stock. I don't want to root my phone either until I hear how the 2.1 update performs.

So my question is, does anyone know how to turn the vibration off for the dial pad? I got it turned off for texting and I have the noise off for the dial pad just can't seem to get the vibration off. The reason I ask is because my dial pad is realllllllyy laggy. Like it takes 2-3+ seconds for a number that you press to show up and I feel like the vibration is the reason for the lag.

Can anyone help me with this? It is really annoying when someone is trying to read a number off to you, and you have a nice phone like this and you have to tell them to hold on.

You can't it's a known bug, I don't think I have even used a 2.XX Rom that I was able to do this with either!

Well google should get on it!! do you think/does anyone think it won't be a problem on the 2.1 update? I mean come on, this phone can do so much but it has a hard time doing what it is originally suppose to do?
 
I agree, not being able to turn off the vib. feedback when dialing a number is quite annoying. Unfortunately, all we can do is hurray up and wait for the 2.1 upgrade, and hope to god there is an option to turn that function off, as well as a few other minor things (like clear market search history).
