Do you recommend mini PC?

I don't play any games. I don't do any power consuming task.

I'm looking for a very small PC to put in my small room.

Do you recommend a mini PC

and where would you recommend buying from?

I can see there are a lot sold on Amazon by third party sellers. However, there is no one sold by Amazon. Is there any other more reliable sites to buy from?

If your needs are few I would instead argue for an AIO PC. No reason to constrain yourself to something that has more limitations than you may want (and you might not find that out until long after) and you’ll have to drop a decent amount of money on a monitor whose capabilities may extend beyond what the mini can do. And audio isn’t that great either.

A good AIO should serve you well for many years and will accept enough peripherals (as needed) that you won’t be constrained. And you won’t have a bunch of cables running all over the place either.

why not just get a laptop? there are plenty of small and affordable laptops now days. what is your budget?

There is actually a lot of options available to you with small format computers. An well reviewed option is an Apple mini, if you can accept being vendor-locked into Apple's wall-garden, that mini is a real performance screamer. Their M1 and upcoming M2 processors are making Intel actually pay attention to what its doing again. The mini itself is only under 8 inches square and under 2 inches thick.

Otherwise, NUC (Next Unit Computing) makes some really good WinPCs. Little smaller than an Apple mini but there are a lot more models with different configurations to choose from.

What about a laptop? Something like a 2-in-1 Dell XPS is really versatile. It's a combined laptop and a tablet. You can use it like a laptop PC when you need to, with its keyboard and trackpad but the display is also a touch screen so you can also use it just as a tablet.

If you still have occasions to watch DVDs and such, most of these really scaled down alternatives don't include an integral optical drive now. So you'll need to just pick up an external USB drive for that.

I think I would avoid AIO PC because I already have a fully functional screen that has already last for 12 years, I think it is not going to fail in the near future.

I am not going to get a laptop because I really hate laptop's keyboard.

Can you recommend me a site to buy a good mini PC? US site is fine. However, Amazon has a lot of third party sellers for mini PC, I do not want to buy there.

I watch Tech Tablets on You Tube. He is a very good Aussie reviewer, based in Spain I think.

I've watched other channels reviews on mini pc's but cannot find them atm.

Beelink seems to be a very good mini pc brand right now. I would buy one if I could.

Unless your needs are VERY modest (browsing, casual games and some Microsoft/Libre Office, then I wouldn't recommend one (Unless you ditch Windows for Linux with a lightweight (XFCE/LXDE/LMDE) desktop
