Ok, bought the Droid and LOVE it. Does everything I can ever ask for and more. I have used iPODs and iPhones quite a bit, done a ton of research, talked with everybody I know who ownes either phone, and chose the Droid. On the first day of use, I believe I found the one thing this phone cannot do - which might be a deal breaker for me...
It cannot connect to a television and play a darn movie.
You would think it is a really infrequent once-in-a-blue-moon trivial feature, but in this world of downloading full-length movies for plane rides, trips in the car, etc - you would think that once you have all those movies on your phone/computer, they would give you a way to watch it on the "big screen".
iPODs and iPhones do this through the 3.5mm jack. Droid can't. I have spent too much time reading blogs, forums and reviews. No luck. No info on whether this is a true hardware limitation, or just need an "app for that".
Am I the only one who would use this feature???
Even the media dock does not have a "video out" feature. Looked into that.
Please tell me there's a way to hook this phone up to a tv and play videos!
