Edit Android built-in (not user!) dictionary

My phone seems to be under the impression that "im" is a word. I disagree with, and would like my phone to correct "im" to "I'm" when I type it. I tried editing the user dictionary to see if I'd added "im" by mistake, but it wasn't there. So I can only assume that "im" is in the default dictionary. Is there any way to edit that? I'm sure it's stored as text somewhere on the phone, right?
