My phone seems to be under the impression that "im" is a word. I disagree with, and would like my phone to correct "im" to "I'm" when I type it. I tried editing the user dictionary to see if I'd added "im" by mistake, but it wasn't there. So I can only assume that "im" is in the default dictionary. Is there any way to edit that? I'm sure it's stored as text somewhere on the phone, right?

I would also love a solution to this problem. Im, wont, Il/Ill, Id, wed... these are not things I would ever type!

Dictionaries also store abbreviations. im stands for instant messaging. id is a term in psychology. The dictionary is tied to the keyboard app. Just get a different keyboard.

I would love an answer for this as well! It's very easy to delete words you yourself have added, but I haven't been able to find a way to access/edit the default dictionary.

Is it true that the dictionary comes with the keyboard? I'm not unhappy with the keyboard itself, just the volume of errors it produces. I'd also like to be able to edit the dictionary -.there are a few basic, common errors that get on my nerves. . . It's 's NOT nds !

Dictionary comes with the keyboard. Swype lets you edit its dictionary for instance, so does Go Keyboard allows you to add words to its dictionary.
