This is a theme I started working on due to someone asking for a port of Simplistic Steel. Sadly Simplistic Steel was made for MDPI devices and we are HDPI. So I did the next best thing and I ported what Simplistic Steel was based off of.

How to install?
1. Reboot into recovery and make a backup!
2. Clear your Cache and Dalvik Cache. (Not doing so will cause a boot loop)
3. Flash the zip file you downloaded from here.
4. Reboot!

Raptor 0.1/0.2

Velocity 0.3

Velocity 0.4

Stock ZVC
 
I'm running velocity and yes I did make a backup I. Cleard cache and delvik cache flashed then it loopt went back to recovery cleard the stuff again and it continued to loop
 
Confirmed bootloop on Velocity .3. Wish I had read further down the thread before flashing. I spaced out on the backup step... so now I'm stuck trying to mess with different things until I can get it to work.
 
Assuming epic is also running 0.3 then I'm going to have to pull velocity 0.3 out of the mix until it is fixed. Damn ZVB build sucks.

Sorry about that guys. Tested and working on velocity 0.4 as well as 0.1 and 0.2 of raptor.

Edit: Velocity 0.3 is a shot in the dark really I suppose. It works for some and doesn't for others.
 
I flashed the theme on V.3 and it appears to be working just fine. Wiped cache and Dalvik cache, flashed and rebooted per instructions.
 
Through some fancy adb work, I restored services.jar and framework-res.apk to the original Velocity versions (extracted from the Velocity 0.3 zip), then cleared that caches once more. This got my phone back up and running with the theme half installed.

I really look forward to using this theme once we can get it flashed right. =/

Since some others have had good luck with it, I might try to apply it again later tonight if I have time.
 
I'm running ZVB. I downloaded and flashed ZVC version from here, and my lockscreen says Velocity.

So why are there separate Velocity 0.4 and ZVC versions? :-/

Yeah I got bootlooped, then i tried to restore my recovery (Amon-RA 1.2.5) and my recovery for 25 minutes kept failing to restore. Then just before wiping my phone (copied my SD contents to my computer first) I tried to restore once more and in actually worked. Very happy that luck restored my phone cos I was about to be super pissed. That said, I understand the risk of utilizing dev stuff and am appreciative of what you all offer to the end user which receive little to nothing from LG.

Hey grz, do you know the color code of that blue/steel colored highlight in this theme? I was gonna change the icon press outline color in launcher pro to match it =)
 
Great theme! Love it and its staying a while.
The only minor issue I foind is that the lock screen in landscape mode with the keyboard open has the stock colors and appearance. Other than that its great!

i followed your instructions but instead of elegant steel i wound up with the stock drops ???? what did i do wrong??
