Help Ending an app

Is there a way to terminate an app when you are done? For example, I am in Email, and all I can do is go to home. Then if I want to end it, I hold on the home icon and then can terminate programs still running. But is there a way to do it when you leave a program or app?

Why do you need to terminate them? Leave it to Android. You have 2GB of RAM, probably more than you had on your previous Windows PC. Do not worry about, no need to do it.

I have been a crackberry, and have to admit, those units were flawed with memory problems, but every app could be closed (and kind of needed to). I guess I won't worry about it as suggested, and see how it goes....just kind of a hard habit to break.

BlackBerries are still 10 years behind all major OSes.

Android will kill apps when it needs too. You actually can hinder the performance of your device by ending apps before the system thinks it needs to be ended. That's why task killers do more harm than good.
