Eris "Low on Space" CONSTANTLY!!

No matter what applications I uninstall, caches I clear, or tips I try, my Eris is displaying the Low on Space error daily. It's like there is something eating up the storage space, and I can't find what it is.

Yes, I've cleared the browser cache.
Yes, I've cleared the cache for EVERY application on my phone
I'm now have only about a half dozen programs on it, and it's still out of space.

Anyone have any suggestions? Is there something that builds up a cache that I can't get to from manage applications?

worked for me, and i had the same problem.

i have a sneaking suspicion it's related to the new Facebook app rollout recently.

Hunt down the app called Cachecleaner (free)

also if your on sense based rom, or not, its best to move the largest apps to the /system/apps directory.


you can use ES File Explorer, Root Explorer, Astro, or whatever, or use adb. Any sycning like social networking apps will store plenty of data as per the above link mentions im sure.

cachecleaner requires root to work...maybe its finally time i bit the bullet and went for root

How much space are your contacts using? Perhaps you have a sync problem that's creating many duplicates. I had a FB contact sync problem that caused this.

if you use Mail, make sure you clean out your Trash folder...everything I seem to delete from my inbox, ends up in there and clutters up my phone...

I have a similar issue, I found this article helpful, it covers deleting any extra contacts you may have synced through facebook. I had 50mb of extra contact info on my Eris.
