Extended Battery

If it would really double my battery life, that would be insane, I already get very good battery life stock. I imagine that battery could give me about 3 days of light use if it really doubled battery life

You are gonna have to be careful with extended batteries at this time. There hasn't been a single one that will charge with the battery in the phone using the USB cable at this point in time.

They will charge outside of the phone, just not while in the phone.

I think im gonna wait for the official samsung galaxy s2 2000 battery

do you think that 2000 will make a difference and when wil it be released in the states?

Or wait for Seidio to release one. I had two Seidio batteries for my old phone..one stock one, one extended. Both were AWESOME. The extended one was a BEAST. I used it on long road trips, plane rides, etc, listening to music and playing games nonstop.

Seidio is indeed going to release an extended battery and door for this phone. I would wait for theirs. Like I said, I've had two different batteries from them and LOVED them both.

i have never seen any oem samsung extended battery offered IN THE UNITED STATES, ever; only 3rd party.

the low price of the gtmax seems too low. i saw a video review, and the back cover is shiney, which will show scratches and likely be too slippery, in my opinion, although i have not touched it.

seidio @ $70 (planned price per seidio's web site, and mungen @$100 per mungen's web site are not cheap, but a gtmax sold @ $15 just seems too good to be true.... i could be wrong.

official seidio link, $70: http://www.seidioonline.com/att-samsung-galaxy-s-2-s/7163.htm

official mungen link, $100: http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/at-t/at-t-samsung-galaxy-s-ii/mugen-power-3200mah-extended-battery-for-atandt-samsung-galaxy-s-ii-with-battery-door.html

they released one in europe

i stand corrected. however, the rear battery door is likely different between usa models and europe, and the sgs2 screen size is 4.3" for at&t, but 4.5" for sprint and verizon for the sgs2. this likely means different sized battery doors, but i do not know for sure. unfortunately, it is a little more complicated.

my only concern is if the battery and battery door would fit correctly, and is made specifically for the at&t sgs2. if not, a definite gamble on YOUR part.

if you get the euro model, don't be suprised if it does not fit and you can't get a refund. and let's assume it does fit - what is the cost and international ups shipping? and if it arrives broken? no thanks for me - too complicated and risky.

see my post, above, of 2 companies, seidio and mungen, both reputable according to many other users here. yes, i wish samsung would offer an extended battery in the usa!

also, you need to ask yourself, why would samsung not want to sell it in the usa and make a profit in the usa? why? likely, because it is not compatible.
