STARTED BY DOING AN INNOCENT FACTORY RESET.. THEN IT STARTED FLASHING "INSTALLING SYSTEM UPDATES"... SO I WAS RECOMMENDED USING A " USB JIG".... IT TAKES IT OUT OF THE LOOP, BUT PUTS IT INTO "FACTORY MODE"

Despite all the 'expert' advice, I never do a factory reset! I did, once, and spent the next few days getting my phone back to normal. How does it go: fool me once, shame on you; fool me again, shame on me. I don't mean to disparage the wonderful, helpful people on this forum...they've helped many, including me; but factory reset just brings problems to us amateurs.

Did you pull the battery prior to using the jig?

Have you checked that your power button hasn't gotten stuck, and that the usb port and connectors still look proper (no bent pins - I need a magnifying glass)?

Were you rooted, as that's required for the usb jig to work?

I don't know how you keep an Android phone going without doing factory resets every so often. I hated doing them at first but now just plan on it after any big updates even some minor ones. Only way I have found to keep the phones performance up to par. Plus eliminates much of the weirdness that comes with updates.

A cache partition wipe will also resolve a LOT of issues,w/o the headache of a factory reset/loss of any data.
However, her are no absolutes,so,I agree, sometimes a factory reset is called for, especially if you're going to send the phone in for repair,or,visit your service provider.
They're gonna do it as well,if all else fails,so,it's a good idea to back-up.

FACTORY MODE (HIGH SPEED)
PRODUCT NAME: SM-N910T

If you've got this far,you should be able to ODIN back to the stock ROM.
Check the T-Mobile Note4 section @XDA,there's a couple of step-by-step threads to get you up & running.
BTW,you're not gonna be able to reset the KNOX WARRANTY VOID,that's a one-way ticket.e-fuse if you will.
Once you've rooted, there's no resetting the KNOX tripper.................
However, the phone will work in every other aspect, including taking updates via KIES (OTA's are not available to tampered devices).
BTW,you'll have to re-root your device when restoring stock,or taking stock updates.

SO MY SITUATION DOES'NT NEED TO WORRY ABT THT "REACTIVATION LOCK : OFF" ????
Nah,you're OK.
I just updated my rooted T-Mobile NoteEdge yesterday via KIES,had to re-root/TWRP & all is well, phone is working just fine.
Samsung doesn't seem to mind too much regarding modding your phone.Otherwise, they'd make it a lot harder to do so.
However, they do make no bones about the warranty being voided once you've tripped the KNOX counter.
Not sure how strict they are enforcing that,but,T-Mobile typically doesn't check/care one way or the other should you have to trade-in/warranty claim/etc.......

OK,are you actually d/l the image/ROM/etc.... to your computer,or,in the process of flashing via ODIN?
Or,are you updating w/KIES?

Gotta go for now,be back on-line in about an hour.
Please keep us posted on your progress. :thumbsupdroid:

THE CURRENT PROCESS IS WITH ODIN... THE LAST LINE READS....

BEEN STUCK HERE FOR NOW AN HOUR

Check this video out,see if you're omitting something (of course, make sure you're flashing the proper firmware):

I DID EVERYTHING EXACTLY.. AND NOW I ONLY HAVE AN INCH OF A DOWNLOAD BAR THT HAS NOT NOT MOVED IN A WHILE... DOES IT USUALLY TAKE A WHILE?

No,it doesn't usually take this long.
OK,what exactly did you have installed on your phone prior to all of this?
(ROM/Android version/custom kernels/etc....)
I'm not guaranteeing I can help in getting your phone fixed, but,it would help to know as much as possible.
Others here may have experienced what you're going through & offer a solution.
Since your phone is basically stuck at this point,I'd disconnect, pull the battery & try again, unless you're willing to wait for others to chime in.

I had my update fail once before success.
If you're gonna pull the plug/battery & try again & if you were on stock Samsung O/S,I'd give the KIES a shot, see if it will restore your phone.
KIES &/or SmartSwitch has that capability, you'll have to plug-in & see if it'll work.
Again, please keep us posted on your outcome.......

ALL I DID WAS ROOT MY PHONE... CUSTOM EVERYTHING..... AND ODIN ISN'T EVEN SAYING PASS OR FAIL... IT'S LIKE AS IF IT WAS FROZEN... NOTHING IS HAPPENING
