Fake phone numbers

I understand that some VIOP (voice over IP) systems may use a phone number starting w8th an area code for a given person called.
I live in Pittsburgh pa and the area code is 412. I get scam calls with the same area code.

My question is, Is there a way to see the underlying information from the in coming call? Like is there a setting in developer tools or something?

use YouMail & Call Protection it is the best spam and robocall protection i have tried. i used to get spammed almost everyday, until i started using youmail. now i get it once a week or so. it is not 100%, but i'll take 99% any day.

Thanks. But what I'm looking for is if there is a way to get the data about any call. I want to write an app.

@Fred Beebe, they are spoofing existing numbers, so your title fake numbers is incorrect... And that's what they do now a days
