Help firmware update

hello,
i am new to the forum
i am on metropcs,
i went into my setting , running services,and i noticed it say firmware update, with a clock timer,
my question is what is it doing?:eek:
 
Did you check your >settings >about phone >online update ? It sounds like it is maybe preparing your phone for the 2.2 update.

I've never heard of anyone saying they had a 'firmware upgrade' in their running process. Mine just says an 'update'. With everything else that has been going on it did sound possible that something was in the works.

Robb is the one who so very politely told me he had always had that message on his Metro phone.

I appreciated learning that. :)

I was talking about theMetro version
 
question......i had the same notification on my phone as well, where it says touch to stop, what would happen if you stop it and is there a way to find it again to install the update

Nothing would happen. LOL

It would just start again the next time you start your phone. :) There is no update to install at this time.
